The art of color: Subjective experience and objective cognition as a path to art

"Are there certain indisputable laws of color and its rules for an artist who is just being formed, and in the field of aesthetics in general, or is the aesthetic assessment of color just an expression of subjective opinion? My students often ask me this question, and each time I answer: "If you can create a masterpiece using color without knowing it yourself, then you don't need to know anything about these laws. If you can't create a masterpiece, nothing if you don't know about the laws of color, you need to work on knowledge."
Training and theory are needed when working with color superficially. When it comes to thorough work, intuition comes into play, and everything happens as if by itself.
I thoroughly studied color with the great masters and made sure that they all had knowledge of it. The science of color by Goethe, Runge, Betzold, Chevrel and Helzel was extremely valuable to me.
I hope that in this book I have succeeded in explaining many of the problems of color. It is necessary to deal not only with the fundamental laws and rules of objective art, but also to delve into the sphere of subjective limitations, that is, the subjective assessment of color.
