Сніги Кіліманджаро - Е. Гемінґвей
The Snows of Kilimanjaro is a collection of short prose by Ernest Hemingway from various years. These stories amaze with the depth and unmistakable accuracy of the images, they embody the famous “iceberg principle”, invented by Hemingway himself. The exotic scenes of the African safari contrast with the forest beauty of Michigan, and also with the special poetics of everyday life, in which the characters are completely immersed in order to escape from disturbing and terrible thoughts.
Lost opportunities and life to the fullest, the eternal search for the meaning of life and a look into the eyes of death, love and the trauma of war, sharply divides life into "before" and "after", hopelessness and hope - all this sounds in Ernest Hemingway's prose with simplicity inherent only to him, with amazing power.
The collection of short stories was illustrated by Anton Selleshy, whose graphics balance on the contrast between strength and vulnerability, sharpness of sensations and subtleties of perception.
