Kharkiv. 2019. It all started with an ordinary banner that we didn't want to throw away. The banner was in good condition, and the only problem was that it had outdated information. At that moment, the idea arose to turn it into something unique, but we did not yet know what exactly. We started looking for a seamstress who would agree to take on such a project. At that time, in 2019, it was a real challenge. Of the 10 seamstresses we approached, only one agreed, and the fire of her desire to create something new and unique was ignited.
The first attempts at sewing were a real challenge. We remember the first failures and broken needles when we had to learn from our own mistakes. But it was these tests that inspired us to find new methods and improve our skills.
It all started with a small idea – to give the material a second chance. The idea grew into implementation and scale.

When I began to delve into the culture of graffiti, I realized that I don't really like it when graffiti stands out, when there are a lot of them and they are very large. Instead, I found a comfortable way to tag: almost in tune with the background, make graffiti of a small size or in a place where they are almost invisible.
It's the same with my stickers - it's not something that immediately catches everyone's eyes, but something that you accidentally found and only you see, although it is in front of everyone's eyes.

Thanks to the demand for handmade knitwear, I put a lot of effort into promoting my little brand. She participated in fairs, became a resident of Courage (by the way, in the photo I am next to the founder and ideological inspirer of Courage Alyona Hudkova in the background of my trading place), knitted and developed an Instagram page.

When the UTOPIA 8 store offered a collaboration in 2021, my brand reached a new level. Unfortunately, because of the war, the whole life changed irrevocably. I hope with all my might that with the end of the war I will return to Ukraine and be able to resume my small production.
In our work, we explore the fashion of all generations, choosing the best ideas, silhouettes, visions and modernize them to the rhythm of modernity, creating each thing in a unisex format.
The story of the main collection FEMINIST_KA began when we came up with the name and accidentally drew a logo in the form of a female breast.
We immediately understood how our plates should look - a round inscription, a border. It remained to find a suitable form.
In order to realize our dreams in creating a brand, we went through several difficult stages: from being fired from unloved jobs to long searches and testing of the team, materials, individual style and concept. We thank you for the opportunity to do what we love every day.

Radiocat is a project of two people, an unrealized lawyer and a pharmacist, lol. There will be no fantastic success story. We were just enjoying our youth: riding bikes, playing punk rock in garages, hitchhiking, and then we accidentally sewed our first bag and it's been here since 2015.
In the summer of 2021, we all noticed how the trend for knitted things and accessories broke through.
Many fashionistas, fashionistas, Western media and even luxury brands showed us how to wear these slightly infantile things. But at the same time, such things convey the atmosphere of freedom and youth.
Actually, this became the impetus and inspiration for us to create SINTIPOP.
Our brand works mostly with materials that remain at factories.
We save them, sort them, and sew them into collections. They also recently started creating collections of sails, kite-domes and parachutes.

I am Marinka, I am engaged in craft silk printing - and this is the creative part of my project. Here I observe ideas about the harmonious aspects of life and am in a gentle magical connection with humanity through creativity. The second part of my project is practical clothing that I apply these images to; we design and sew things in our small family atelier.

I don't create clothes, I compile my emotions, knowledge and skills into something coherent, in order to share feelings and allow the buyer to talk to others through the drawing on the T-shirt.

The founders of the Zguro brand are Oleksandra and Andriy Bormovy. A married couple who are in love with their business. Oleksandra is a certified ceramic artist. Andriy is a ceramist with more than 10 years of experience. Bohdana Pavlychko, Solomia's daughter, became the sole owner and brought a new spark that we needed. Instead of the previous focus on literature and textbooks, Basics made a bet on visually appealing publications, offering modern, designer books on photography, art and culture.
We now specialize in art and books about architecture and cultural phenomena. As in the 90s, these publications are a way of discovering and articulating fundamental knowledge about our history and help Ukrainian society to rethink this knowledge and find new meanings in it. And, of course, one of these meanings is the meaning of affirmation. We want to understand and develop Ukrainian culture, but not only for ourselves. We want to show it to the world.
