The cover features an image from *Raided*, a project by the anonymous artist Counterfuture, created using publicly available police records of searches and raids in Ukraine. The viewer is drawn into a violent intrusion—alongside (often masked) law enforcement officers who storm into brothels and strip clubs, detain suspects, and seize evidence, with little regard for the privacy of the people in the frame. Stripped of context, these images cease to be evidence and become fragments that call into question authority and the very act of viewing.
The issue combines academic research and strippers’ confessions, queer fashion editorials and sex-magic rituals, essays, photo series, and artistic experiments from over 25 authors from cities around the world.
