*“Angry Mavka” is an all-female Ukrainian nonviolent resistance movement that emerged in occupied Melitopol in early 2023.
“Angry Mavka” operates both online and on the ground in Russian-occupied territories of Ukraine. Its activists, risking their lives, distribute posters, leaflets, and other materials throughout occupied cities.
The movement conducts its activities through a Telegram channel with a chatbot, enabling its activists to open “offices” where they interact with group leaders who assign resistance tasks. Identification data is always kept anonymous on both sides, which is crucial for operations in occupied territories under constant risk of arrest.
