Zin Hrishnytsia №3

"Hrishnytsia" (*Hrishnytsia) is an art zine created by Ukrainian artist Julia Poli in 2021. It focuses on the topic of eroticism and its representation in the modern world, using various aesthetics of entertainment magazines and newspapers that were popular in the early 2000s and that could easily be purchased at train and bus stations in Ukraine. The protagonists and participants of the publications are Ukrainian artists who are invited to explore the issues of sexuality, self-knowledge, gender and intimacy in their work.

A lot of attention is paid to the study of historical events that made up the life of Ukraine during the past centuries, in order to understand our modern context. What can we do to support those who stand in defense of our state and freedom now?

The third number is codenamed "Letters to the Front" and focuses on the theme of intimate communication during the war. Despite the rapidly changing events of the war in Ukraine, the natural desire for various manifestations of intimacy cannot be silenced. Moreover, the image of a naked body became not only a subject of erotic fantasies, but also a means of attracting more funds to support the Ukrainian army. The "OnlyFans" social network concept has been transformed into a solid opportunity for voluntary financial support known as "TerOnlyfans" (a play on the words "Territory Defense" and "OnlyFans"), which you can also read about in our publication.

The third edition of "Gryshnytsia" is entirely dedicated to charity. All profits will be transferred to the voluntary organization CVIT Ukraine, which supports the armed forces of Ukraine.
