The direct ancestor of the Boonie hat is the work hat of 1937 "Daisy Mae hat", which was produced exclusively from denim fabric. After studying the history of the Boonie hat in detail, the Prefix Apparel team made their modification - they made the top based on the pattern of a five-panel cap and used nylon as the main material.
